NOREEN WALLACE ON TOP OF THE WORLD

Noreen Wallace of Cape Town was officially appointed to the standing committee,  Women in Umpiring forum.  A wide range of issues will be covered relative to providing greater and more opportunities to females in umpiring softball. At the initial get together at the ISF headquarters, the ISF President cited the importance of finding ways to include more female representation in not only umpiring but other aspects of the sport, including coaching, administration, and leadership.

Wallace is also the Vice-Chairperson of Softball South Africa’s Technical Committee and obtained her regional status in 2002. She accompanied the South African team to Japan in 1998. Secretary General of SSA, Denise Paulsen, said “Softball South Africa are very proud and honoured by your nomination of Noreen Wallace to the "ISF Umpire Regional Coordinators Committee. This augurs well for Softball South Africa and Africa and we are very confident that Noreen will be very beneficial to the task at hand.” We wish Noreen well in her endeavours.
